To qualify for the heavily discounted or free rates above, you generally need to fall into one of these categories: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Young Children<\/strong>: Ages 6 to 59 months (under 5 years old). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Seniors<\/strong>: Ages 65 and above. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Expectant Mothers<\/strong>: Women in any trimester of pregnancy. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>High-Risk Adults (Ages 18\u201364) &amp; High-Risk Children Aged 60 months (5 years) to 17:<\/strong> Those with chronic conditions (diabetes, kidney\/liver\/heart disease, etc), suppressed immune systems, or those receiving long-term aspirin therapy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a perfectly healthy 30-something without chronic conditions, you won&#8217;t qualify for these specific national subsidies but you can still get the flu shot at most private clinics for around $35 to $45 out-of-pocket.
